I am so jealous, Ryan.  Did frame them together?

Ha ha!  Good to see you are teaching your son about comics already.

Okay, I will email him.  Thanks.

I guess there is still the perception that inkers are "just tracers" and not really part of the creative process.

I haven't framed them yet, Wilson.  I'm thinking about it, but custom framing my last commission has kept me from taking any other pages in to be done.  It ain't cheap!

A while back I bought my boy a large (taller than him at the time) stuffed Superman at Target, in the animated look.  He loves the thing and makes the figure fly around all the time.  He's become a big fan of the Fleisher cartoons and will point Superman out whenever he sees one.  "Yook dada, yook!  Suuman!"

I know.  I have stopped framing my pages and keep them in an art portfolio.

It is better for me because 1) now have more money to spend on actually collecting pieces and 2) my wife has stopped complaining about me for hanging them all over the house.

"Terry was kind enough to have included two gifts"

Horace, that's a great story- you must have been chuffed to bits!

Horace, care to show the other pieces you had Terry ink for you?

BTW - How long did the whole process take?

You're telling me. I just went on a hunt locally for the best framing at the best prices. I'm learning the costs that come from this wonderful world of original art. But you've gotta preserve 'em one way or another.

I just got my John Byrne pages in the mail today. They look damn fine close up. Definitely a great Christmas gift.

I didn't do any price comparisons, Trevor, I just went to my local mom and pop craft store.  It was more expensive, no doubt.  My 11x17 page was only $2 less than the 20x30 I had done.

Glad your pages arrived in good shape.  I have total faith in Jim Warden.  The USPS or Canadian customs, not so much.

Out of all the pages I've gotten so far the one's from Jim Warden were the best preserved and shipped. They look like they were done last week. Very new looking. To frame everything I have now I'd be spending about $700-800. So I either bite the bullet and get them all done. Or I pick and choose and store some of them. Either way I am happy with my start in collecting original art.

About framing...  A miter saw, and a few how to/plans are a heckuva lot cheaper than paying someone else to frame things for you.   Your first few attempts will SUCK, but with practice, building displays becomes pretty easy.

Miter saw- $100

Wood- $20

Telling those rapists at framing stores to f*** off- Priceless

Yeah, I have to have my UV museum glass.  I think my art shop can order just that.
