Hey Stuart-
When's the last time you've seen a comic full of his art?
Seems like it's been ages...

I don't recall ever seeing Hughes on a monthly. My only real expsoure to his work has been on covers. He is brilliant imo. I'd LOVE to get a Batman drawn by him.

I have never seen a full comic full of his art and whilst I love his Covers I am not sure I would find it translates to the pages.

Hughes started out on "The Maze Agency" for Innovation (with Mike W Barr),
which turned in to a gig on Justice League International for a year or so.

Adam Hughes is great on interior art as well. I think people forget that it's not just his ability to do cheesecake that makes him a great Cover artist. He seems to put a lot of story and character into every cover he does. Like the FF sketch above. A small, quick sketch but it really gets the characters. I'm really looking forward to his Wonder Woman book. (presuming I find out when it starts. I stopped following the monthly grind quite some time ago.)

Dave Hoover is probably most well known for his run on Captain America in the 90's. I contacted him through CAF and I asked him do this Star Sapphire in colored pencils.

Nice piece, Paul.
Anyone know if he's ever done any work for DC? I ask because I've seen some Power Girl and (Supergirl, if I remember right) prints by Hoover floating around on eBay.
One little observation I'd like to make: Doesn't any place other than frame shops carry 11 x 17 frames? I've looked all over for an 11 x 17 frame for a signed print I got off eBay several months ago and can't find one, and I'd rather not pay to have it custom framed, as it would probably cost at least 2 to 3 times as much as the print did. (Its a Power Girl headshot print signed by George Perez, and unfortunately I paid about 2x what its going for now)

Hey Brian-
Hoover did 11 issues of mullet-head Starman...
My brother is a Starman nut and has them all. I've tried for years to get a sketch from Dave at the Pittsburgh con, with no luck (to the point that it's become a running joke...).
I buy my frames at Meijer. They have nice 14x18 frames with 11x14 matts. Not a perfect match, but I tend to make do with them. Meijer tends to have 50% off sales from time to time, , making the frames $12.50.

I asked at the local photo specialty shop, and they had 12 by 18 frames. (or so by 45 centimeters). Of course with us using metrics and you using empirical measures, I'm not sure how helpful that is. Anyway, that's my suggestion: a photo specialty shop that sells frames.
(But to be honest most of my frames are 16 by 20 inches, simply because they're cheaper.)
