That's fantastic!  Does Walt Simonson do commissions the way JB does or only at convention appearances?

Walt and Louise were at a small con in Scranton over the summer. I had a fun chat with them as I watched Walt to the following sketch for me. I then asked Louise to write the script. :)

Roger, once again you win! Was Walt doing full figures for everyone, or just for guys who write books about him? :)

Roger-
That rocks!!

I asked Walt at the 2006 WizardWorld Chicago if he did commissions, and it seemed like a "no". He had done some charity drawings, and was doing quick head sketches at the show and that seemed to be it.
What a great artist and nice guy!

I don't believe so.

Was Walt doing full figures for everyone

No. He'll do head sketches at conventions, but as far as I know, he only does full figure drawings for charity. That's why I felt lucky to find this at the Hero booth.

I know people who would kill for the frog alone.

Pity he doesn't do commissions. It'd make a perfect gift for a friend of mine.

Is Walt drawing comics nowadays? I know he wrote Hawkgirl.

I've been trying to talk him into it for years. No go so far.

Too bad, because he is a great artist and would love one of his Manhunter and Batman pics!
