Flippin' awesome recreation of my all time favorite cover by our own Pat Ditton. He has another one in the pipe that I can barely wait to see. Many more thanks to Pat!

Looking at that piece reminds me of the way Frank Bellamy used to draw the title character in HEROS THE SPARTAN, the strip he did intermittantly for EAGLE. Heros had been raised by a Roman general, and was a commander in the Legions, and as the stories progressed, the cock'scomb atop his helmet would become steadily more bredraggled. It would be fun to play the Batman's cape like that, getting more and more tattered over the span of a story.

All great additions to your collections, guys.
Joe, I'm glad you finally bought a Demon page. Now I must buy more to keep up. ;-)

You mention Frank bellamy he was a nice guy to talk to i learnt a lot from him, his use of line work when he drawed drapery he was a master, when he passed away i was in one of the many offices at IPC and the editor there was cutting up a piece of Frank's artwork that upset me even to this day never forgot it.

John,
I read that you worked at the company that produced TV21 etc in the other
thread, about whatever the heck it was.
My point being, it seems you knew or at least talked to Frank Bellamy, did
you also meet Mike Noble and some of the others.
Could you maybe relate some of your stories, how they were, what you got
to chat about, and how was the original art when it came into the office (did
you go gar, gar over it).
You also said you had some original art from the TV21 day, any chance of a
photo or two.
Cheers, Peter aka vanullis

When a piece of art by Bellamy came into the studio i thought WOW the page was so clean and tidy and the colours so perfect i learned first hand from those pages they were beautiful, and Mike Noble everything he did i just loved he used the airbrush on his work. The art i have is just to big to scan if i get round to it i might use my digital camera,Bellamy was a treat to talk to i asked him what he used on his work and he told me that he used cotton wool, razer.pelican inks, printers inks etc, a real nice chap miss him a lot.
