Doug Sneyd just started attending comic conventions with Super-Con and
San Diego. He had a number finished pieces with him for sale. They were
very nice.

Here are two pieces I had Ethan Van Sciver do for me at Wizard World Chicago.
This piece could be my favorite, Hector Hammond!

Paul:
I've got to ask, roughly what is the average cost for a commission like the ones you are showcasing? I hope I'm not overstepping any boundry asking this.

Don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but Sam I recall Van Sciver saying
he was planning on charging around $150 for a sketch, $100 for a head
shot on one of the forums he posted at before Adventurecon back in
June. However, he ended up doing art that looks comparable to that GL
piece for FREE at Adventurecon when he heard JR Jr would be doing free
sketches (however, JR Jr was mainly doing sketches on the Fallen Son
blank cover and headshots for everyone else).
That might give you a rough estimation on Van Sciver's prices for cons; no idea what he or any other artists whose work Paul has posted charge for commissions, though.

Sam, I'll give you an idea on the prices. The Don Kramer Joker piece was only $75 and the Portacio Storm was $200. I won't price each one, but a few were higher than 200 and some were lower than 75. The prices really run high and low any more. I'd say the old average for full figure was 75 and that was only a few years back. I think since a lot of folks try to resell on ebay the artists charge more. It's a shame 'cause my wallet is still hurting from last weekend.
Here is my final commission from this years Wizard World. I contacted David Finch through his wife Meredith. She is great to deal with and if you like Finch's work, I'd recommend dealing with them. I was very pleased with this piece and can't say enough good things about David and Meredith.

Hey Paul, that Moon Knight is outstanding! But haven't you neglected to post the new highlight of your sketchbook? :)

HA! I didn't post all of my sketchbook stuff here, but it is in my comic art fans gallery. For those of you who look at the mystery sketch, go easy on me. It was free. I said the only thing it cost was my time. Scott replied, "and your dignity". I'm sure upon quick glance you'll know what Martin is refering to. By the end of the weekend my buddy Shawn got me another.

That Kramer Joker was only $75.00?! *jaw drop smiley goes here*
Paul, just out of curiosity, was Van Sciver charging at WW Chi, and if so, was I close on his prices?
(I hope he does Adventurecon again next year; if he does, I'm heading
straight for his line first thing unless a miracle happens and they get
George Perez for the con - I wanted a Van Sciver Batman, but his line was waaaay too long by the time I got out of JR Jr's)

Brian, you were correct on headshot prices but he was higher on full body.

Outstanding art Paul. Please forward me vua email the Finch contact info. I'd love a piece myself.
For those of you who would like to see my newest Kolins batman piece, check my CAF, as I can't get it to post here

Gotcha.
That's an awesome GL piece, btw. And considering I can't stand Hal, that's saying something.
*edit* Just checked out the new Kolins piece, Ari. He really did an awesome job on Two Face and Batman. I may have to add him to my list for a Batman piece.
I bet a Finch Phantom, Green Hornet or Shadow would look amazing......
