I've been faitrly lucky finding artists.  Mostly, from other collectors whose collections I've seen on CAF.  I shoot them an email and just ask if they have contact info.  People are really nice.

I wish there was a way for those of us who are....thrifty (ie, I'm cheap right now because I'm unemployed) to find low priced but good art. Does CAF has a search by price option if you have premium status?

If I told you what my price range was, you'd probably laugh. The WW picture I posted is probably the only art I'll be getting this month, although I am looking at a piece by another artist who has the same art dealer as Ed Benes (and is on their website, not eBay). I definitely can't afford any commissions right now, but am considering e-mailing a couple of artists to find out if they take payments instead of requiring the whole payment at once.

Does anyone know if these frames are any good?

I'm tempted to order a blue one for the WW piece pictured in my previous post and another one (can't decide which finish) for a signed George Perez Power Girl headshot print I have.

Brian,

There is quality art out there for reasonable prices.  I'm not a rich man by any means but I think I'm putting together a pretty respectable collection.  E-mail me if you like and I can give you some info and ideas for your price range.

Joe, I mailed you through CAF, as I've had problems the few times I've tried to e-mail people through links here. Any help will be appreciated, and pardon me for being a bit long winded in my mail.

Ari tried using tinypic.com to shrink the image so it would show up here.  A fellow forum member just got me a David Finch Batman that I'd love the share
