Thanks guys.  There was another Swan page from the same dealer I planned to get at the same time but it turned out to be already sold.  I have my eye on some Byrne pages from Jim Warden I will probably be buying in the next few weeks...if they're still available...

That Kerry Gammill page looks great.  Always love seeing his artwork.  When I met him at a Motor City Con a couple years back I told him I thought his art was an amalgamation of John Byrne and George Perez, and he thanked me for the compliment.  Great guy, and I'd like to buy some of his MARVEL TEAM-UP pages someday.

i do not think the writing on the page is so good. like mr byrne said it is bad writing for the talking to be so long when there is such fast speeds on the page. it is not the way to have the best writing.

Nice pages Paul!  Did those come from Jim Warden?  Love the castle shot especially.

Joe, I thought the castle shot was pretty cool as well. JB always draws a great building. No I didn't get these from Jim. I'll post the new ones I bought from Mr. Warden when I take some digital pictures of them. Maybe tomorrow. I bought these pages from Doug Hazlewood who inked this issue. I started getting pages from him when he was inking Doom Patrol. He's a good guy to deal with and he's currently working on Birds of Prey. I figure I'll give the guy a plug.

William, cool She-Hulk page. And from the graphic novel to boot!

Joe, I forgot to comment on how much I enjoy your Swan page as well.

Thanks Paul, This is number 8 of the "sure honey I'm only going to get one piece of page art". I'm sooooo screwed.

Bad Writing 101: Having characters make long
speeches while moving at high speeds.

But writers have off days. That stuff happened all the time in the silver age. Wonky writing stuff isn't unusual in funnybooks. Like the characters telling us what's happening rather than showing us.
