Gerry, that first Adams splash page you posted? I've never seen it before, and I swear that, for the first couple of seconds, I thought I was looking at a JB Black Bolt page that had somehow escaped my notice!
A couple of posts later, you scanned a page in which Maximus forces a woman to slap a man whom she calls "Le-Roj." I know nothing about this story. Was there any particular reason for Roy Thomas to hold a mirror up to the name of Kal-El's birth father in this sequence? Is there an inside joke here that I'm not following?
