Hi JB,
I noticed in the checklist that you are credited as the colorist for this piece. If so:
1. What did you use to color it?
2. You don't give yourself enough credit on your coloring abilities!
Thanks,
- Mark

Magic markers?
Amazing.
The Scarlet Witch is incredibly beautiful in that picture.

It came out while I was overseas, didn't learn about it until I joined on here.

I remember my brother had it, the big boobs kitty got it taken away from him by my mother.
I'm sure she saw the nude lady in the back up feature as well.

I sold my copy, when I sold everything else.
It's the one thing I actually regret parting with. When I first saw JBNM, I thought "Finally! The John Byrne who drew all those exploding heads and naked ladies is free of the Comics Code!". I always loved that pic of the 'Buccaneer' Superman, too! I actually played hookey from school to buy my copy. Ah, memories.

I don't know that I skipped any school to get my copy, but I do know that I
made a solo trip to the big, bad downtown Toronto as a wee lad to get mine
at the Silver Snail (any Torontonians here?), back when it was just a small
shop across from Dragon Lady comics down there on Queen Street West.
I marvelled at it for god knows how long. It may have been my first non-
comic-book comic . . . thing ( didn't know what to call it back then). Also, if
I recall correctly, I became a true font geek at that time recognizing that I
liked the font of the text in the book--something I'd never really noticed or
appreciated before-hand.
Not in a million years would I have guessed that cover was done with magic
markers.

I've never seen that, but it's hilarious. I love the Vision, Ant Man and Nightcrawler bits, which I didn't even notice last night when I looked at this (particularly Nightcrawler).

Nice. I wonder what an "updated" version of this pic by JB would look like.
