JB, it's quite the coincidence that you posted that pic from Casablanca, because that's who I imagined you sounding like.

Good second part of the interview. I thought the hosts were very interesting and kept a nice flow to the interview. JB, as always, is great at telling stories and keeping the interview light with humor.

Awesome interview.

While very similar to what I've read on this forum, its amazing how much difference the spoken word comes through.

Yet another reminder about the sterility of the Internet.

Thanks to the hosts and JB for sharing!

I thought it was a terrific interview. Went by too fast for me.

JB, you don't sound anything like I imagined.

****

You were expecting the third McKenzie brother,
weren't you?

I was expecting you to have this loud booming voice, and have a British accent (which I realise makes no sense.). After listening to it im even more confused on where the evil Byrne stories come from.

It was like his voice had emoticons.

Once again I want to say "Thank You", to Mr. Byrne. It was truly an honor and a delight. I will always be a fan.*

And thanks to all the forum people here who gave it a listen. I hope you liked it and will check us out in the future.

Man, this is a great interview! Thanks, guys, and thanks, JB. This is a lot of
fun -- great to hear JB's voice telling these stories, rather than just reading
his words. JB, your love for the genre and medium really shines through.

Real nice interview.  Hell it was worth it to hear JB call himself a fucker.  Of course "John Byrne...a fucker!" is now probably racing around the internet at the speed of gossip.

Over all I liked the podcast as a whole.  It was a lot of fun, even in the non-JB portions.  It was almost like the conversations I used to have with my friends round the back issue stacks on Wednesday nights.  Liked it well enough to "subscribe" through iTunes, so now I'll be listening on a regular basis.

That was just incredible. Believe it or not, I've never really had an in-depth comics conversation with a fellow fan. Yes, I've talked about comics with friends that had a passing interest, but never a person that truly loves the medium. I've lived with this passion in my own head ever since my Mom gave me my first comic, a Batman treasury editon.

Whenever I went to a shop as a youngster I was either too shy to talk to any of the clerks, or, the clerks seemed aloof and apathetic. Until I found this board, I mostly just kept my interest in comics to myself. A pity. It gets lonely in this old head of mine.

This interview just added a whole new dimension to my appreciation for John's work, and listening to the interviewers (and John himself) TALK about Wolverine, and Hawkman, etc. was a real treat for me. Many thanks to everyone involved.
