Great work on the interview, guys.

It's things like this that give me newfound respect for creators like JB who have dedicated their lives to something they love to do.

Great interview, all involved. Touched on a lot of different things.

It was interesting hearing JB's voice for such an extended period. I've seen him on the Spider-man DVD, but this seemed different for some reason.

It really put his "voice" on this message board into perspective for me as well.

This is a great interview.  JB, you don't sound anything like I imagined.

I'm obviously biased because I have been hanging out on JB boards for a few years and have gone out to lunch with him -- but seriously, how can anyone who sits down and listens to that interview, fan or not, continue to hold the belief JB is an egotistical monster who hates his fans and throws tantrums every five minutes?

The interviewers were clearly fans, but considering that I thought they led a very balanced discussion. Just goes to show you that the haters come to the table with their own agenda, and must peel away a lot of layers of reality to arrive at the various "bad Byrne stories."

DOUG: Where are you going John, eh?
JOHN: I'm taking off eh, going to draw.
BOB: Draw, eh? Okay, more beer for us.

But JB was wearing a toque during the interview -- right?

Funny thing -- grew up in Canada, but never wore a
toque while I was there! My mother is a constant
knitter, and she used to make balaclavas for me.
That's kind like a ski mask without a face in it.

I've only worn a toque when my wife ordered me... before that I would brave the minus weather... the moment I worn a Canadian Tire Toque... I said to myself... "you smuck, all these years of almost loosing your ears!"
