Oh, and I forgot to thank Cory, too. That is one really cool closet you have
there.

Q for all:
What issue(s) did Mariko and Sabretooth first appear?

Patrick, Sabretooth first appeared in "Iron Fist" #14. I think Mariko first appeared in "Uncanny X-Men" #118, or #119 (I forget which).
Edit: Just check a copy at the shop... #118.

Wow--this is an interesting thread.
That story would have been something to behold, no doubt. Fortunately, so
many of us here are familiar enough with JB's X-Men work that we can well
imagine what that arc may have looked like. Still, it's no replacement for the
real thing.
Slightly OT: That scene of Wolverine holding Mariko's wounded body sounds
like the stuff from the X-Men 'missing files' commissions series, if you ask
me. I know that's what I'd do if I had the $$$. One day . . .
Somewhat more OT: what with the religio-political climate of the US today, I
wonder if Wolverine's destruction of Mariko's life-support system would
have ever had the chance of seeing the light of day.

There's still time to use it in ULTIMATE X-MEN...

I enjoy seeing unused sketches and hearing about story ideas that never came to be. Thanks for starting this thread Cory. Thanks to JB for giving some insight into all this as well.

Too late. Sabretooth is Wolverine's son in that universe.
