Nice sketch Chris! Steve did a doodle on an issue of Whiteout for me. It's tucked away in one of my unorganized comic boxes. He was a really nice guy, I haven't seen him post here lately. Whiteout was a really good mini-series.

Playing with this new camera is fun! Thank goodness my wife won this at her job. I got back early from my training, so here are a few more con sketches from my book. The Question by Denys Cowan. Whom I heard just got hired by BET to be the VP of their animation department. He did this with a ball-point pen, while wearing a cast.

Steve Lieber's one of the nicest, most generous
guys working in comics, and is always worth tracking
down at a convention. My wife and I took him and
one of our mutual friends out to dinner after this
WonderCon in February, and he drew a really nice
sketch in our copy of Whiteout and gave us a page of
original art, too, all of which was above and beyond
the call of duty.

I agree Steve Lieber is an amazingly nice man. I was a little saddened that he wasn't at San Diego this year. I always have a nice time chating with him and seeing what he's working on. It's usually something I am reading, but haven't noticed it was him doing the art. IMHO his best work was on the two Whiteout series. I almost got the chance to buy some of the Original art from that series from him, but I had no money left when I saw he had the art for sale. If only I had the financial resources I have today back then.

This is a side step from my sketch book. Matt Wagner usually brings pre-done color sketches to cons to sell. Here is one I picked up at MOC 2004.

If you ever meet Paul Ryan at a con, get a sketch from him. He always does great work.
