I've been trying to get a con sketch from Steve "The Dude" Rude for a few years. This year at Motor City Con, I was the first person waiting at his table and got this gem. Hulk vs. Cyclops.

Looks like you scored well at Motor City this year. That Perez piece was from there too, right?

Yes, the Perez was from this years Motor City. I have another Perez from this year. But I'll space it out. The Deodato was from this years con as well. But here is another Motor City sketch, The Black Cat by Linsner.

That Steve Rude art is (as the kids say) "The S**T!"

He makes it look so easy.

My final one for the day. I met Geof Darrow at a Chicago Con about ten years ago and he was selling these pre-done con sketches. Rusty and the Big Guy.

Now that the board is back up, here is another con sketch you guys should enjoy. If I need to describe this one, you are on the wrong message board.

I've never been to a comics convention before. Are those drawings being sketched by the artists in real time? If so, how long it does it take to wait for your drawings? thanks :)

Some artists are faster than others. The ones JB sketched (that I witnessed) he would take a few minutes from signing autographs and do a sketch. I would say no more than twenty minutes. (It's been a few years, so the time isn't exact) The Perez sketches, he would take back to his room and work on them. He would then have them ready the next morning. I have no idea how long it actualy took him to do it. Since I saw Perez at the con party that evening, I have a feeling he didn't labor over it for hours. Most artists will do it during con hours and depending on how busy they are signing, determines how fast it is finished. As Dave mentioned about his Texiera sketch it took two seperate con trips to get his Wolverine finished. That man has patience.

Here is one from current B.P.R.D. artist, Guy Davis. A real nice guy and he always does great con sketches.
