The only positive is that the more they screw things up, the more a "Crisis-Like" event is likely to happen sometime in the future. Not that that is a good thing either...sigh.

I tend to think that when they handed the reins over to Rob Liefeld during Heroes Reborn, it was an improvement over what they're doing now. I'd take a Cap with man-boobs over a government stooge Reed.

I think JMS has switched sides. He's gone over to the Alpha Centauri side of the political fence, it seems.

I'm feeling quite confident this board gets plenty of attention outside of our membership whether it is admitted or not.

This is a valid discussion.  The last CIVIL WAR discussion we had centered around Spider-Man and his unmasking for the world.  This one is taking a turn toward what is happening in FF, specifically the character of Reed Richards, as a result of this mini-series (information that wasn't available at the time of the first discussion).  Simply put, if you don't like the thread or are tired of talking about it, you're not obligated to read it and are certainly under no obligation to post your thoughts on a topic you're obviously tired of rehashing.  This thread in no way invalidates other comics being published nor does it quash discussion of those comics.  Check out the pull list thread every week for a ton of discussion on a wide range of titles.

I had noticed before that all the scientists were on the same side.  I assumed coincidence.  Apparently according to a board during Hero Con there is more to it.  I have no idea what, but I am remaining optimistic that at the end Reed and Tony and Hank will not be government stooges.  Its kind of like when Superman died.  I knew he wasn't dead, but I had to know what was going to happen next.

From the little i've seen, i can agree with what Joe says, that there probably is something MORE to it - but that doesn't mean when it's said and done, it won't leave a big yellow stink all over the characters.   Of course, it's more important to vote with our wallets and not buy this stuff than complaining everytime NuMarvel lifts it's leg and forever marks another character as their own -- there is still very valid reasons to continue to debate, discuss, and renounce it publicly - If just ONE more person "Gets it" each time a thread is started - it's worth it.

If I were a child, Straczynski would get my action figures of the Sorceress and Hordak and would tell me that they had sex while He-Man was fighting against Skeletor.
