I know it's not gonna happen anytime soon due to his exclusivity with Marvel, but I'd love to see John Romita Jr's take on some more DC characters.  That brief fling with the PUNISHER/BATMAN book some ten or so years ago still has me salivating for more.  Also some pretty durn good writing... fella name of Dixon, if I recall...

JRjr, along with JB and Walt Simonson has always seemed a natural for a New Gods title.  I'd also like to see his art on JLA, and maybe Green Lantern too

If DC somehow got JRjr on Batman or Superman, it would be quite a coup.  Here's a giant in the industry, and he's only worked on half of the available characters!

Some years ago at Motor City Comic Con (1996, I think), I met JR JR.  and asked him if he'd ever consider doing some work for DC. Sadly, his reply was that Marvel treats him well and he chooses to stick with them.  (Sigh!)

Maybe now that he's gotten his feet wet with his Image book, he might like to expand his horizons a little. We can only hope. I would love to see him work on a Superman project.

That was the Con where I'd also met John Byrne, George Perez, and Adam Hughes  for the first time, among other notable worthies.

If I recall correctly, The Grey Area started off as a book for Marvel's new Epic line, but when it crashed on take-off, he had to take the work he had already done to another publisher.

I am a big fan of JRJr, too, and would love to see him do some DC work, but if I had to pick 1 DC book/character for him to do, I guess it would be...

Shazam!

After ETERNALS, for Marvel, I would love to see him tackle...

THE DEFENDERS!

As for Marvel Comics currently published, I would have to say...

THE MIGHTY AVENGERS!

You do know that JRJr. is my favorite (current) Marvel artist, don't you?

(nod to JB)

That would have been 1997.  He was in the back of the artists galley, and I snapped this picture right after he signed my IRON MAN #256 and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #239.

I met him there again in 2000.  Great guy, wish I would have been able to get a sketch or something from him.  He and JB are even-steven on my favorite artist list.
