here's an eccentric and personal list

1. Dredd versus Judge Fear

2. Supes versus Doomsday (the comic sucked but was one long quite good fight)

3. Bats versus Hitman

4. Fat Freddy versus his cat

5. Fred Gassit versus the NSW Police Force (who don't like it when you give them 'the finger')

6. Hulk versus the American Army

7.  Cap versus Punisher

8. Cerebus the Aardvark versus that Red Sonja send-up character

9.  FF versus the Silver Surfer

10.  Avengers versus that alternative Avengers from an alternative world (ages ago...someone here will remember)

The Fantastic Four 260 fight where JB has Silver Surfer fly by and grab Tyros
by the beard and throws him HARD into the street made me think

"Dang, that had to hurt. Hurt really bad."

Well done, JB.


I got that same feeling in the DC Comics Presents 36 fight between
Superman and Mongul.

Mr. Fantastic vs. Dr. Doom

One of my favorites was FF #200 (first ish of the FF I ever read and a back issue to boot). Just loved that cover!

* Galactus vs. the Fantastic Four from John Byrne's run
* Great Darkness Saga
* Spider-Man vs. Juggernaut from ASM 229 and 230
* Batman vs. Grendel
* Hulk vs. Joker/Shaper of Worlds
* Swamp Thing vs. Arcane, both the version in the graveyard, and Moore's take

I'm sure if you ask me tommorrow, I'll have a different list . . . .

Brett Payne: Spidey vs Firelord (Yes a little unbelievable I know!)

I know a lot of people like to talk about how unbelievable that fight was, but if you read DeFalco's dialogue on that page posted above...well, now that's Spider-Man!
