Thanks for the offer, but I've already gone back over there and asked him myself why he used blue pencil on that particular run, and how often he's used it.   I also wrote to comics.org and pointed out their error, so hopefully they'll get it corrected.

Obviously I guess loose pencils give the inker more leeway to inject his own style than tight pencils do (assuming Dave was doing tighter pencils the first time around, which we don't know to be true).  For me I think the difference ultimately comes down to inker compatibility though.  I think the inkers on his first tenure (especially Dan Green, Bob Layton, and Sam Grainger, as well as Dave himself of course) just matched up better with Dave than the guys on the second tenure (Joe Rubinstein and Bob Wiacek).   And as I said before, it would have been very interesting if they'd convinced Terry Austin to stay on the book, based on the Cockrum/Austin covers we got in the first half of JB's run.

True, Jason...the earlier combinations did work better! Give Dave a couple of days to reply to you! He has dialysis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays...so those days he pretty much doesn't communicate with anybody!

I think it's just cool he makes time to post as much as he does, given the health stuff he's dealing with.
