I always loved the way JB drew the Hulk, and this piece is no exception. Very impressive.

JB, thanks for sharing and for the glimpse at the pencils. Like the crowd says, it's great!

Just my opinon, but JB draws a superb Hulk (which i've only recently realized just how good) and with Chapter One, I realized how great a Sandman he draws as well. One of the top ones, perhaps second only to Ditko.
Love the Hulk's face.
Powerful piece. Unfortunately for the Hulk, he has a lot on his hands here.
Interesting choice for commission-never would have thought of it.
Probably, I would choose a similar scene, only with Spider-man and several of his villains. Maybe Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and Mysterio.

That is so funny. My eventual commission peice was going to be
Thor v Absorbing Man. I may have to rethink that.
I never get tired of seeing the Byrne Abomination...maybe I should switch back to my old avatar...

I think he's not only absorbed Uru metal properties, but he's also absorbed/become lightning. But I might be misremembering.

I believe he has several times, as Jason has said, both the metal and its lightning/energy

Seeing all that graphite on the first image, then seeing how clean the
page is when it's finished....I wonder, how black is your kneaded
eraser?

Great piece, and for some reason I tend to focus on one figure in particular to praise, and this time I pick the Sandman - he never looked better.
Speaking of Absorbing Man, what would happen if he tried to absorb Sandman's properties? Or Hydro-Man? Or the Grey Gargoyle?

Or the Grey Gargoyle?**** To the best of my understanding, the Absorbing Man can only take on the properties of inert materials, not biologicals. He's not Rogue, for instance, or Amazo. However, this is not the case with his kid partner, Absorbing Jr. . . . .
