It's totally unacknowledged "colorblind casting," too.  They've shown both of Lana's parents on screen and neither of them looks any way asian, so I can only conclude that, while Kreuk is half-asian, Lana is not.

Annette O Toole. Kidder=Lane.O'Toole=Lang. Pity they didn't get more screen time together.

The new season of Smallville has only just started over here. I guess now I know who the death is going to be.

She looked a bit unique but I didn't realize she was part Asian until I read it. I don't think she particularly looks Asian.  Lana the character is not on the show from what I can see.

I'm not up-to-date on Smallville, myself, but I'm pretty sure that Pete isn't the death.  I think they just wrote him off the show a year or two ago.

It's funny, since it doesn't happen too often, but I completely disagree with Rob's post above! The guy couln't act, even if his life depended on it. And there was nothing special about his role, either.

Chloe is another thing entirely, and yes, she is much more Lana than the Lana they give us.

I wasn't certain she was half Asian until I read it, but I thought she might be and wasn't a bit surprised when I found out she is.  I'm really not as bothered by the "color-blind casting" as I am by the fact that it's being ignored on-screen.

Sean Paul, I don't know if you caught Miss. Kidder's appearance on Smallville or not. But here's a shot of your two favorite Superman sweethearts together on said episode.

Now all they need is to work in Jack Larson, Noell Neal & Tim Daley.

*Edited to add: Rumor has it Dean (Superman) Cain will guest star as a rival love interest for Lana. It would be cooler if he played a Superman from an alternate universe where Lois & Clark took place. Smallville Event: Crisis From Earth-B
