I like the cover! A tad deceptive regarding what lies inside, but as I recall,
there was a reason for that.
••
Originally, the cover was to have a "Surgeon General's Warning" on it,
informing the readers the scene was not actually in the comic. The editor
put his own copy on instead.
Later, I used the Surgeon General gag on a SHE-HULK cover.

Food for thought - was it irresponsible for James Hudson to allow Aurora to remain as an active member of Alpha Flight once he learned of her split-personality disorder?

No more irresponsible than Xavier keeping Wolverine in the X-Men, knowing
he was a homicidal maniac.
Less, actually!

Things I liked:
1) The straps drooping on Aurora's bikini (nice little drapery touch that few artists would bother with or understand how to do!)
2) The gold-tinted flashbacks of Gilded Lily
3) Sasquatch's sneeze!

That may well be the greatest sneeze in comics history.

The mis-coloring of Aurora's costume on the cover still bugs the Diablo out of me.

New poster here - long time lurker - decided to delurk because this issue is an old sentimental favorite.
Great artwork and story - love the Gilded Lily reveal...very creepy! Plus the link to Diablo is classic John Byrne! Excellent all around!

I like the way Gilded Lily's face was never shown in the flashbacks.

This is my preferred issue ! And this is the first time I see the cover !
This story is a classic for me! It is extremely appealing in many ways... the scenery, the drama in the life of the vilain ( almost have pitty on her ), the camera angles...
And Aurora in the costume I love !... er... OK... it includes the swim suit as well !

This was definitely a fun two parter. I enjoyed the mood very much, and the flashback with Diablo was a great moment. Gilded Lily was an interesting character with a strong name and look, but not much potential. The story just ended. A bit disappointing, but I still like this issue a lot.
