That splash with Super-Skrull is about as scary a drawing of that villain as
one could do and still be code-approved. Man.

And I'll say it again...I really wish Guardian's time in New York would have lasted just a little longer so we could have seen at least one team-up with Captain America.  That would have been the best, my two favorite characters together.  Maybe there's a hidden story there...time to play the lottery.

Agreed -  I had forgotten all about how cool Super-Skrull was rendered in that page.

I loved the appereance of Steve Trevor in this issue, and the "bad-@$$" actitude of Northstar. I have this issue, but on digital file, from a download.

What a fun trip down memory lane! I wish Marvel would either collect all of JB's Alpha Flight in an Omnibus or a couple of Essentials.

As far as the cover colours go, I always figured it was a Bob Sharen job.
Looks like his pallet.

(I also always figured that the pink at the top should have been orange.
Otherwise the pink makes it look like Sasquatch's head has been
squished...)

I love that splash too.  This is a great issue.

The battle between Sasquatch and the Super Skrull is awesome!  And this is the first time it's hinted that Sasquatch is a great beast, right?

That title-page splash is one of my favorite of my own drawings from this
vintage.

And, Ryan -- the "little spaceship" is Jerry Jaxxon spying. That was made
clear later, wasn't it?

Was Sasquatch always intended to a Great Beast?
