Wish I had a page from that issue, Wilson. The page where Sasquatch picks up Super Skrull / Thing came up on Ebay months back and went for a load of money. Man, I wish I'd kept bidding!

Sasquatch was my favorite member of AF, so seing him "solo" in issue 9 and 10 was a blast !

I really really like the look of the character (Eaglemoss, ear my prayers !!!)

This is one of those illustrations of the odd sliding scale on the "his old stuff
was better" chant. ALPHA FLIGHT was already deep into the time when it
had become fashionable to dismiss my current work as inferior to my
previous work. Twenty-five years later, of course, it has become some of
my "best" work! Same way the FF that was so excoriated in some corners of
fandom has since become "second only to Stan and Jack".

You should've posted the page where Jeanne-Marie is handed over the crummy bed room. It's one of the best pages by far (story wise). I'm quoting from memory cause I don't have the issue at hand right now.

-"He died in that very bed. Of course, the lock will be removed from the door."

-"All my hard work finally paid off!"

Be careful, Jeanne-Marie, don't get too greedy! It's a sin! And then Aurora takes over. A Stranger in my Mirror's simply my favorite back up.

I also liked when she punches a guy but it's so fast that the punch wasn't even drawn. It's probably been done before but it's the first time I've seen it.

The writing is definitely A+

Is this still the Japanese brush period?  Always liked the textures in this vintage.

 QUOTE:
JB, were the Thing (or rather, The Super Skrull as "Thing") figures inked by Sinnott? I always wondered that, as it looks like his work.

Count me as one who thought this as well!

I love the subtleness of Meg touching Walter with her foot under the tabe.
