Some old some new:

Doom Patrol #17 - My only lunchtime read, it's a damn shame this is the next to last issue.

Justice #2 - Liked the first issue, had to wait to get this one(it was sold out last week.

Angel #5 - Still liking this series

Black Panther #9 - Wild Kingdom pt 4.

The Sentry #2 - Romita goodness.

Weapon X: Days of Future Now #4(of 5) - I know it came out last week, but when you gotta watch your funds....

Wolverine #35 - House of M tie in, Texeria & Saltares

X-Men #176 - Wild Kingdom pt. 3(only picked this up for the storyline)

Young Avengers #8 - One of the best Avengers books out there.

Alice Cooper: The Last Temptation HC - I've been looking at this for a couple of weeks, and since I liked the original Mini I had to get the HC in B&W.

Big week for me; I read the first three at lunch today.

DOOM PATROL: Shocking ending! How is JB going to wrap this up in one issue? How am I going to get through the month without DP? Aaaauuugh!

DEFENDERS: A fun diversion with a couple of moments that made me cringe. I don't like the Banner-smells jokes and the indications that Umar is getting busy with the Hulk. As always, tho, Maguire's art makes me happy.

NEW THUNDERBOLTS: My last remaining ongoing Marvel book. This two-part battle with the New Avengers didn't do much for me, and indeed only made me more miserable about the current state of the Avengers. Cap plus Iron Man plus a bunch of other random folks does not equal the Avengers to me. I crave Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Wasp, Hank Pym, Thor, Hercules, Wonder Man ... you know, the Avengers.

JSA CLASSIFIED: I like Power Girl, and not just because of them.

SOLO: The Mike Allred issue. Picked this up on a whim.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: I have no strong connection with the Legion, having only read a bit of the Great Darkness Saga and their appearances in JB's Superman issues. Maybe because I come to the book with little baggage, I am enjoying this re-vamp an awful lot. Anyone else reading it?

  • Daredevil VS. Punisher # 5
  • Ultimate Fantastic Four # 24
  • Green Lantern Corps: Recharge # 2
  • JSA Classified # 4

Defenders # 4  at times entertaining, overall, has not lived up to
this teams work over at DC

Doom Patrol # 17  just in it for completion of the run at this point.  Cool
effects on page 13 & 14 though.

JSA Classified # 4  Wow, talk about very little payoff !   I was enjoying the
build-up in 1-3 & was bummed out to learn that I've only actually read
parts 37-40 in a 115 part crossover-mega- saga.....blegghh!

Drax # 2  can you say decompression boys & girls ???

Girls # 6   I'm burning out on this Luna Brothers project.   The storyline
is still weird &  interesting but the art is starting to bore me.

The Goon 25 cents Special  C'mon it's only a quarter!  Have not yet read it.

Dropped JLA this week, thought about Allred's Solo but it's too pricey.

Picked up today...

CAPTAIN AMERICA #11
DEFENDERS #4
DOOM PATROL #17
FLASH #227
JLA #121
JSA CLASSIFIED #4
NEW AVENGERS #12
NEW THUNDERBOLTS #14
STARDUST KID #3
TEEN TITANS #28
WONDER WOMAN #222
YOUNG AVENGERS #8

SOME KINDA SPOILERISH TEXT BELOW

Read JSA Classified in the store and flipped through Doom Patrol and Captain America.  CA is one of those frustrating books where I have no complaints at all about the story and art per se, but I REALLY wish they weren't going where they were going.  JSA was pretty fun, but the reveal of the "true origin" was unintentionally amusing to me.  Main complaint there is that if it takes 4 issues to get a fairly anti-climatic reveal, the least you could do is get into the whys instead of directing us to Infinite Crisis.  (At least it appears #2 is the big Power Girl issue.)  Doom Patrol's looking pretty cool.  Naturally.

Adventures of Superman #643:  Rucka's got one of the best, longest running stories going.  I just wish the books were longer.

JSA Classified #4:  I think we all suspected this from the Jim Lee cover of IC #2, but it's nice to see it down on hard copy.  I'm just disappointed this is only a four part story and would like to see her in her own series.

JLA #121:  I was wrong, I though NW was going to join the JLA, but I should've know his allegiance would stand with Bruce.

Young Avengers #8: Best Marvel Book Currently In Print.  Period.

Yet to read:  Capt. America #11, Wonder Woman #222, LOSH #11, Daredevil #78, Flash #227, Teen Titans #28
