He [Superman] should be physically imposing and
dominate every panel he's in.

Julie Strain is downright grotesque in that outfit.

My #1 pick is still obsure actress/fitness model Tsianina Joelson:

I'm seeing a lot of people picking "actresses" hardly worth the name.  I don't know about you all, but I'd much rather have an actress who can convey the character of Wonder Woman than some pron star who just looks like she stepped off the page.

Don't get me wrong: I think it's totally legitimate to say, "You know who really looks like Wonder Woman?  Jenny Bimbo."  But then people take the same attitude to the movie once it's actually been cast and assess the performance on the half-irrelevant basis of whether they looked exactly like we imagine the character to look from the comics.

Christian Bale, for instance, doesn't particularly look like I picture Bruce Wayne, but he looks close enough that it doesn't distract me from what matters: his performance as Bruce Wayne and as Batman is compelling and faithful.

The problem with Jessica Alba playing Sue Storm isn't that Alba is hispanic with a dye job--it's that she doesn't know or care what is interesting about the character, and she can't portray it.

Physically, I could sort of see Dushku as Wonder Woman.  But I think her performance would be like an insecure girl pretending to be Wonder Woman instead of the dignified, powerful, and regal ambassador, warrior, and super-hero.

Julie Strain is another one that is TOO OLD.
She's got like an INCH of makeup on in that picture,
and she still looks like she's 45.
Now there are 45 year old women who are real
Knockouts, but they shouldn't be playing YOUNG,
eternally Youthful Amazon Princesses.

I think the physical ideal for the role is Gabrielle Reece

She can pass for an amazon at 6'3", but her acting skills are non existent it seems.

I don't know if she can act, and she'll probably never receive consideration for the part...but Dougie, that woman would be a great choice..!

From what I remember from the two Xena episodes I've seen her in, she was no Meryl Streep--but she definitely wasn't Jessica Alba, either..."Reed, these readouts look very promising!" Gahhh!!!!!!!
