This has hit me hard.

I absolutely love his work. In a way that is so hard to explain, but I think you all know what I mean.

This is terrible. I hope he is not in pain. Such a
horrible disease. I got to meet him a couple of years ago
and it was a joy. Such a strong part of my childhood.

The year of 2021 has been an even more difficult year for some. Sad new, I wish him and his family the best in this situation.

A damn shame. I've been a fan of his the majority of my life. After John Byrne he was the second comic-book artist who I became a fan of by name, thanks to his Wonder Woman run, and who's work I made a point to check out regardless of whether I was previously interested in the characters or not.

Terrible news.  I'm so glad I got the opportunity to meet George a few years back (actually 9 years ago but it doesn't seem like that long ago) and get a personalized sketch from him.

I hope he has as little pain as possible in his time remaining.
