Mr. Byrne -

On your recommendation, I picked up the Generations Omnibus. I am enjoying it greatly and love how you handled the history of the DC universe while staying true to the eras of comic history.

One question: G1 (1999) and G2 (2001) look very similar artistically, but G3 (2003) has a decidedly different look.  Specifically, the lines generally are thicker.  I see that you carried full art duties on all three projects, so I can't chalk that up to different inkers.

So...was it something as simple as a new set of pens?  Or doing original art on smaller paper?  Or were you experimenting with a different style?  Or some other reason?

Thanks again for your time and insight!

"Do Not pose "multiple choice" questions, as "Did you do such and such because of blah, or because of blah blah?" A simple "Why did you do such and such" will suffice!"
