I got the Johnson and Johnson jab, but was cautioned that it's only one
because it's twice as strong. Which means (temporary) after effects may be twice as bad. Ugh.

Johnson & Johnson isn't twice as strong - it is just a different way of doing the same thing: preventing a person from ending up in the hospital, and/or dead, if they contract SARS-CoV-2.  Pfizer and Moderna are messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, that use mRNA to carry a genetic code to cells, while Johnson & Johnson uses an adenovirus, to do the same thing.  Apples to apples comparisons, in terms of efficacy during clinical trials, with the other vaccines isn't really possible as Johnson & Johnson was tested during a time of a surge of the virus, in nations where variants were dominant - South Africa and Brazil.  During Johnson & Johnson's clinical trials, there were zero hospitalizations or deaths in the vaccine arm.  Also, as time passes, clinical trials showed that Johnson & Johnson's vaccine efficacy ramps up, so after about 40 days, or so, it is at the same level as the two mRNA vaccines.

Don't seem I'll get my vaccin soon. In France it's going far too slowly.

I'm not that worried because I caught the disease a few months ago but still...

I got my first Moderna dose on Wednesday. I didn't feel any side effects until around 14 hours later when I was thrust awake by arm, shoulder and back agony reminiscent of a car accident, and I spent most of Thursday in sluggish misery. It's hard to say how much of that was directly from the vaccine and how much was amplified by existing physical issues (I'm often thrust awake by arm, shoulder and back pain deriving from a car accident).

Looking forward to checking this off for good next month.

For anyone who does get the J&J vaccine...please make sure to have a full
meal prior to receiving the vaccine. The issues in Colorado and NC the last
couple days...we saw it weeks ago and have been screaming into a hurricane
trying to raise awareness.

A little woozy yesterday, the day after my shot, but that may have been due to having a bagel for breakfast and then nothing else until around 6.

Pretty much okay today, so far.
