All Angel can do is fly (until they started screwing with him and that "Death", "Archangel" and all that crap.) There are several who can do this; Falcon, Peregrine, Nighthawk, many others who just fly. He's got an extra ability, but not hella special.
But YOU draw him, Mr. Byrne, and he is suddenly noble, stately, majestic, and the guy to the rescue! Like your Hawkman, you make the very fact that he is winged a special ability. You manage this with many of your characters - but Angel is a real super hero at the pencil of the master.
I knew the Champions broke up. Now I know about when. But that might have made a nice little one issue crossover.
And thank you for providing Bobby and Warren with intelligence. One word... but it's all they needed. And I do not care when they learned of the Watcher. The FF met him, shared that with the Avengers and the X-Men - made a hell of a lot of sense. I mean, the last time he appeared, he presaged the appearance of GALACTUS. So his appearances are pretty important.
I would LOVE to see Hank, or even Pietro and Wanda show up. But it wouldn't quite feel right, I think. Maybe Alex and Lorna, though... ah. I'm sure your further surprises will be, as always, startling and delightful.
But... "BIN a while, huh?" (emphasis added.) I'm not sure how to differentiate between pronouncing "been" and "bin." And in the end... is that the style in which Warren speaks? I usually think of him as a bit hoity-toity, and proud of his speech. Although again... who would know the difference? Even the Watcher might overlook this one. :)
