I, for one, think the whole Pablo - Logan dynamic is so completely organic and so unexpected that it's completely unique.  It's very layered, either consciously or unconsciously, in its depiction of the relationship so far

It's certainly nothing like any other Logan-youngster friendship I've ever seen. I think a big part of it is they're both vulnerable in this one, as opposed to Pablo simply being Plucky Sidekick Number Forty-Three over in the published comics.

Well, those Shi'Ar sure do have some fancy resurrection tech!
Guess the only question now is what they'll do with Lilandra once they restore her to full health, mentally and physically. It's going to be hard on her to see what she did as Phoenix, I'm betting...

...resurrection tech...

••

Sounds like a good title for a science-fiction novel!

Back before home video, it was a movie that would turn up only occasionally on the Late, Late Show. By the time I was old enough to appreciate it, I'd been told the entire plot multiple times.

Felt no need, then, to actually watch it.

Under the wrong artist's pencil, that spaceship would look a little goofy.

Don't know if I'm the "right artist", or if I've just had enough practice! I honestly didn't care much for the Shi'ar "bug ships" when they first appeared. Cool Cockrum designs, yes, but they didn't make sense to me in context. I mean, why bugs?

This was probably at the back of my mind when I drew that Shi'ar "dreadnaught" in the Dark Phoenix story. Not deliberately going against Dave's designs, just looking for something else to draw.

It wasn't until this imaginary story, in fact, that I really started to feel comfortable drawing the ships without being slavishly faithful to Dave's versions. Tweak a little here, tweak a little there.

Ah, so SHANE was effectively spoiled for you, like you've mentioned ROCKY was too. Okay then!

I agree with Wallace that you're adept at spacecraft -- but that doesn't change my preference that you keep your stories on earth.

Why am I getting an uneasy feeling from all this? <rhetorical question>

JB, your shading of the ship makes it feel like it's not shiny (like chrome), but has a texture to the surface. Like brushed metal.
