This image was posted on the Reddit X-Men group, and people were wondering who the mutant in the leftmost column, third row was. Some thought it might be Karma with a hair color error. Do you remember? Great job in synching with the X-Men Australian plotline BTW.

Karma was who I had assumed as well. Note that all of the characters are shown in alphabetical order, so she would fit between Iceman and Legion.
15-year-old me was thrilled to see this page. It was the only time that JB had drawn many of these characters - particularly Apocolypse and Forge, and was one of the very few times that he had drawn Rogue.

I love the expression on Quicksilver's face. Fits him perfectly.

Good catch! That lends support to your deduction.

I think it is Karma and that the colourist didn't know who it was!

Really no knowledge of what was was going on in the X titles then, but I read that as maybe being Madelyne Pryor. But the alphabetical order fits for Karma!

"... I read that as maybe being Madelyne Pryor..."
My thought as well, until Vinny pointed out how the faces were ordered by alphabet.

Here's how Karma was being rendered around this time (courtesy of Jackson Guice):
The hairstyles are very similar.

I can't recall what was meant by "unverified." Was that "we don't know if they're actually mutants" or "we don't know if they're still alive"?
I love how Nekra gets a "No!!"

Yes, I remember the exclamation mark for Nekra's NO making me laugh back in the day.

Probably the former, since I don't think Sabra's ever been presumed dead.
