Lovely. Made me forget how much I wish singers would do covers of Leonard Cohen's hundreds(?) of other songs. He had lots of really great ones.
Small story: I briefly met Leonard Cohen when I was around thirteen. His two children attended the same summer camp that I went to. I barely knew any of his songs. "Suzanne," "So Long, Maryanne," "The Sisters of Mercy," maybe a couple of others. And that's only because his son had a cassette of "The Best of Leonard Cohen" or whatever it was called.
Anyway, when we met I shook his hand and told him I was a fan (not untrue, right?). I knew he'd recently played Carnegie Hall so I asked him how that went. He said, "well, y'know, the acoustics, they're not so great..." I knew enough to laugh at that. Funny guy.
