I’m reminded of when I showed Mark Ivy’s penis in the NEXT MEN backup feature. A number of readers wrote to scold me for “being afraid to draw a REAL penis”. So imagine the explosion if I lost my mind and decided to draw Wolverine’s. No way to satisfy even a fraction of everybody!!

Wolverine and Nightcrawler have both been through the wringer, physically
stripped of their uniforms - which makes for a really impactful visual to match
how they have been stripped of their conscious selves. Their
personalities/personas are scrambled. A terrifying prospect!

Best 4 Wolverine drawings ever ? But for Mesmero's tent and Hellfire sewer...I'd say YES.

JB, as I scrolled down page 14 I thought I recalled that very thing (*ahem*) being mentioned in the letters pages of JBNM, so thanks for confirming it here on page 15! Otherwise, I would have had to take a trip up to those boxes in the attic.

What a classic Marvel sequence and an EPIC few seconds.

Heroes meet under the cloud of a misunderstanding and a fight, erupting too fast and too emotionally for anyone to clear up, brings out the moments we've all been waiting for!

If ONLY this was one Marvel book on the racks with a dozen others bringing the rest of the line out with the same monthly bang. It's just too damn easy to imagine!

I think the team is being a bit tough on Wolverine. How else should he respond to being viciously set upon by a vengeful alien attacker with claws?

Took me a moment to realize that this is probably the first time that Jean's learning Wolverine's real name.

I love Fang's sleeveless costume. How it should've been all along.

"And depressing that there are so many people who STILL don't know about this project!" - Our Inimitable Host

I have a feeling the REAL fans know all about this and LOVE it.
Please don't let a YouTube commentator depress you.
You are the best!
Who else would do this?
Thank you.
Sincerely.

JB - I know you are on record here as mentioning you give the IG as little thought as you do the LOSH - but I am hoping that the first panel of the previous page demonstrates at least some thought in terms of the practicalities of the battle - i.e. that Impulse is an energy being in a containment suit (akin to Wildfire of the LOSH), rather than have sweet and innocent Peter punch a hole through an alien's chest! ;-)

We can imagine that Peter threw his punch, and was then surprised to find a lot less resistance than he expected!

"Of course, I could just show that his naughty bits
retract, like his claws!"

Not sure why I laughed at this, but I did :-D
