Rumoured yesterday & confirmed today -- Merrick Garland is Biden's nominee for AG.

Garland as Biden's AG is a glorious pick. The GOP's blood just ran cold, especially McConnell's. With the Senate now being 50/50, Biden will get the cabinet he wants.

If he has a sense of humour, his first speech should be about building a wall.

Please, Neil, the guy leaving office today has been enough of a joke. We need someone serious in charge again.

Kevin, I never actually celebrated a new President, even one I voted for in the past. However, this time around, I am sincerely in a celebratory mood!

Trump praised the Obama family in his inaugural speech. I know how I would like President Biden to note the departing Trumps, but his speech writers have more restraint than I would have in their position

Much like Gerald Ford, I don't think Biden is going to be an exceptional President, but I think he's the right kind of President for the moment.
Bottom-of-the-barrel to average would be a pretty big step up.

All Biden has to do is string coherent sentences together, trust scientists, not be a racist and not pick Twitter fights where he insults anyone that says anything about him that he doesn't like.
If he does those, he will be lights years ahead of the last guy
