I have a lot of admiration for Scotland the last decade or so!

No slight to Stacey Abrams, Joe Biden, or anybody else, but the power is with the people and each and every vote. This is what has be defended, strengthened, and in some cases restored (like the voting right act). These names are only what they are when the people support/empower/vote for them. The people of Georgia who voted to put a stop to at least two years of extreme obstruction against an 'enemy' are the first people to thank, each and every one who took the action to vote in the Senate runoff there.

That Republican party either needs to excise the minority of extremists, racists, and divide & conquer types who talk of obliterating an 'enemy' which is your own people, or start a new Lincoln party or somesuch with those who have some firm standards and actual love for democracy as opposed to a dumbed-down red vs. blue team sport. They need to not take an opposing position toward black and minority rights, black lives mattering at all, because some times there is only one side, at least when you are one nation undivided, and one human race on the planet. There should also be a respect for all religions but a separation, this is something all sorts of people have learned the hard way including your founding father.

It will be nice to get back a neighbor that will stand up to real enemies of the people and democracy again. Donald Trump if he actually wasn't might just about as will have been working for Russia! Also he might just as well have been working 'for' the deadly covid virus, which if it could be said to have an agenda is to spread and mutate, and Trump's semi-covert "we want them infected" as a policy being implemented demonstrates he was certainly working toward those 'goals'. A stock portfolio being up is no more of a guaranteed achievement nor permanent now than it was in 1927.

The free world welcomes Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and good will is a commodity we all should want more of.

In the midst of this senseless, disgusting Trump-motivated thuggery and destruction, the two Georgia Senate run-off elections have been called by CNN. Both Democrats have narrowly won, meaning that the Democrats have taken back the Senate because of the VP's tie-breaking vote which gives the Dems a 51-50 majority. Assuming the Capitol isn't a smouldering ruin by January 20th, while the deep divisions sown by Trump will remain there will be a new political climate and agenda and more possibility to implement it than previously anticipated.

I'm looking forward to when it's President Joe Biden making the news, because, with the senate declared Democratic even by Fox news, it will be a lot more good news! His speech today was intelligent and he even stopped on his way off the stage to say "enough is enough is enough".

'Nuff said! :^)

On January 20th I'm going to request a title change to this thread...  But not sure what it should say.  I'm thinking "The Joe Biden Presidency".  Thoughts?  Suggestions?

I’m thinking Joe Biden won’t be Tweeting stupid shit every other day so a thread devoted to him won’t be necessary. Just restart a new Politics thread.

Kevin, I was just kidding! I like your titles - I personally prefer the more basic
titles, but I know you will pick something good.
