That fine, upstanding bastion of honesty and integrity Michael Flynn is now saying that Trump should suspend the Constitution to hold a new election....overseen by the military!

Suspend the Constitution? And they say anti-fascism is bad, too.

Michael Flynn couldn't even spell Constitution if you spotted him the "n", the "i", and the "t".

Apparently it wasn't Flynn who originally said that. He was reposting an ad taken out by a right-wing group in Ohio. And apparently neither that group or him are aware of how the law works.
Though am I surprised that Trump didn't try to bring back the Sedition Act, which Wilson had in place durring WW 1.

The group that took out the ad in the Washington Post is called We The People Convention. They are the ones that suggested the country would benefit from the President declaring martial law and running a new election overseen by the military. Flynn just retweeted this call for democracy. /eyeroll

I have come up with a new nickname for Trump, because all of his followers are clearly sheep.
Have been calling him Delusional Donny, but Little Bo Creep is more appropriate.
Also, AZ certified Biden as the winner, yet Trumphards are saying they committed a crime by certifying false documents! Really? Out of ALL the states, AZ had to be in the top 3 of states everyone had to know he was going to lose, after all the badmouthing he aimed at John McCain when he was sick and after he died.

IF this thing goes before the Supremes, I hope the first thing Biden's lead attorney does is remind the court that awful as it was, Bush v Gore set the precedent that a candidate CANNOT cherry pick counties out of the entire state (as Gore was accused of doing in Florida) and that likewise Trump should NOT be able to cherry pick challenges only in those states he lost!
Marc
(edited to add: for the legal eagles on here, yes, I know the right-wing majority in Bush v Gore TRIED to entrench within the ruling that Bush v Gore should NOT be viewed as precedent and was relevant only to the particulars of THAT case - but anyone with half a brain knows that was biased/pure political BS and has already been circular filed by a few federal appellate courts)

Supreme Court rejects Republican bid to reverse certification of Biden victory in Pennsylvania. (Now let them slap down Texas.)
Biden is STILL going to be our President.

Imagine if the Biden & Harris covid team informational leadership event today had been on March 8th... how many tens of thousands of Americans might've been saved. :^(
Trump's competitive event at the same time was barely even anything to do with covid and mostly about how unfair everyone is to Trump (who got medical treatments basically no other American can get), how a hundred thousand votes for him were stolen from him and other made up junk. Why would anybody even want to listen to the sulky froot loop? He's likely reason number one some people wouldn't trust a vaccine if he is taking any credit for it.

Texas' AG has filed a completely idiotic lawsuit, trying to get the Supreme Court to throw out the results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and vote for Trump instead. He's trying to argue that changes to voting procedure in each of those states due to COVID that expanded mail-in voting were unlawful.
He essentially wants SCOTUS to block those four states from voting for electorals for the Electoral College, tossing out millions of votes.
I really wish there was a way to charge these idiots who trying to circumvent the will of the people to keep Trump in office with treason.

Brian, I read a plausible article on slate suggesting that the Texas AG is only filing this lawsuit to curry favor from Trump in hopes of getting a pardon (he is dealing with his own legal troubles related to bribery/racketeering).
As noted, the lawsuit is ridiculous. Even if he did have standing to file it, and even if there was any evidence to support it, the asked-for remedy (awarding the electors for those four states to Trump, based on... nothing tangible whatsoever) is beyond laughable.
