McConnell is the poster boy for why there should be term limits for more than just the President. Sadly, I expect him to be in there as long as the previous poster boy, Strom Thurmond, who also showed why there should be an age limit as well as a term one.

Political parties (which George Washington WARNED us against splitting into) have supplanted the intended separation of powers scheme: that each branch of government would jealously guard its privileges and prerogatives against the other two branches, thus being a powerful check on one another.
The second we formalized factionalism (i.e., political parties) - which we did almost immediately, despite Washington's warning - it stopped being about the Congress keeping the President in check, the Courts keeping Congress in check, etc., but about Party A vs Party B vying for absolute power!
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was a complete and total enabler of President Trump - Trumpism alone would have been bad enough, but McConnell gave him a blank check and said "do your worst!"

OMG AG Bill Barr has been replaced by a Deep State clone. Why else would he be announcing that the DOJ found no evidence of widespread election fraud that would alter the election results? Doesn’t he know that Trump WON BY A LOT?

Barr is pretty smart. He knows if Trump is ever brought up on charges that he will point to the statements about the election and his statements in the past about how Trump is making it hard for him to do his job at Justice to prove he was always neutral and never fit inside Trump's pocket.

Nope, Barr proved many times how he was indeed in Trump's "pocket".... and I'm sure he was part of the group that expected a 2nd term for Trump.
Now he's trying to be on the "right side" of the situation. Too late, I hope.

serve Trump’s whims. He’s not even tried to hide it.

ITEM: I bet Bill Barr is trying to cover his ass, and has the negatives - and 45 KNOWS it. Lemme see if I remember the storyline... big boss rules things, but sniveling toady has the photographs. Mysterious accident happens to toady, and either he dies, or is in an amnesiac state. So, to address this matter... President Biden calls in Batman and Robin!
