This most recent page is setting up her ability to see “shadows” of what’s around her.

Yeah. I saw Wolverine laying on the floor ‘above’ her. Thats what prompted my question.

There was a point in the 1980's when I was buying around 15 to 20 Marvel titles a month. That number diminished over time, and I pretty much stopped in the early 2000's and migrated to The Walking Dead and Thief of Thieves at Image.
Every now and then I pick up the odd Marvel issue, just to see if something will draw me back again.
JB, your work on here makes me yearn for something I can't have!

This may seem a bit out of left-field, but looking at Wolverine on the last sneek-peek page --- I am impressed at how good your understanding and rendering of human anatomy is...from all angles.

Steven Q., may I point out something that you might have overlooked? It's easy to miss the facility and genius with which Mr. Byrne draws hands. Nightcrawler to Colossus to Cyclops... they're just ALWAYS great. Everybody has 'em, but not everybody draws them very well.

It's the shot looking up at Kitty from far below that impresses me. Drawing the human body from that kind of angle and perspective is not easy, nor is there a great deal of photo reference readily available (it's when you look for photo reference for things like this that you realise how the vast majority of photos are straight-on shots of the front of people).
And while that panel impresses me the most, its the expression on Kitty's face in the first panel that I like the most. With the cables poking through her head at the same time, it's brilliant.

A little "censorship" necessary for this page . . . . .

Ok, you own Kitty!
Is this the first time I've seen Sprite not 100% intangible?

JB, is this latest page part of the reworked story? I'm pretty sure that first panel is one that would blow the mind of a young John Byrne. =)

I like that you're showing a mentorship relationship between Cyclops and Sprite... something that never occurred in the regular series. It was always Storm and Sprite. It adds another fresh spin to the past.
