Was Gladiator holding back when he fought Colossus?

Sure. ;)

Wow..this storyline and series has been amazing. And we still have the  Magneto what if plot coming down the road . Here's hoping we see Quicksilver , Wanda and Unus in that group .

For better or worse, the Shi'ar are woven into the All New, All Different X-Men at a core level. Personally, I do not want more intergalactic space-opera from the actual X-Men, but having the Lilandra story continue is very welcome. If it were to simply drop out, the overall project would feel less organically connected to what came before.

Looking back, it feels like introducing Lilandra and the Shi'ar (and Corsair) was like a fever dream in some ways.

But the Phoenix needs a cosmic foil. The Shi'ar fit that place perfectly.

Gladiator is always a pleasure.

- Between the current D'Bari situation and the Imperial Guard coming to Earth, the X-Men sure are going to be in some deep shit.

- I love Gladiator. Kalarak reminds me of someone. ;-)

- That Imperial Cruiser looks nice!!!

- 39 days until the next issue. Back in the 70's, if there was a delay, Marvel gave us a reprint or a stand-by issue in the drawer.

JB - Do you have any art teasers to get us through?  ;-)

In the meantime, I guess we all can concentrate on more important matters in November.

The wealth of story-objects Mr. Bryne is juggling here is a true Cornucopia of greatness. I love how he doesn't just drop an idea and move on...everything seems to flow so organically.

Am also very glad I found ELSEWHEN while it was still happening. Although I will reread it many, many times, it seems best to be 'in the thick' of this creative super nova. What's more, I enjoy this running author commentary---that's something that never existed before for me. It truly does enhance my comprehension and enjoyment of the artistry.  Thanks to you all for your thoughtful comments & questions.

Thanks again JB. The November wait will only make that first December page that much sweeter. Best wishes.

Whose side will Jahf take?

And now with little Paolo and Ashley Martin around, this could be a fair fight..

What a great close to the issue. You’ve said a few times in the last several months when speaking of others’ over the top story ideas “and then what happens?”

I wasn’t expecting the direction you’re taking us, based on the devastated Shi’ar homeworld, and apparent death of Lilandra, but it’s clear you’ll show us what happens next, and I’ve no doubt it will be a fun ride!

Thanks for this, and looking forward to what’s next.

But do X-Men stories need the Phoenix? Genuine question, not rhetorical. My own inclination would be a preference for moving on from all things Phoenix.

If there's a fight, and Jahf doesn't help our heroes, Gladiator could take them all out by his lonesome... in 60 seconds or so...

Jahf might be the guy who brings both sides together.
