I can't imagine any artist feeling comfortable with that comparison. Particularly when they are leading in the poll. :)

John Byrne captures for me so much what I think is excellent in the sheer rendering of superheroes.
But that has simply nothing to do with Moebius' art being so amazing I feel like passing out....

How do you compare that in a ‘this is better?’

I don't see the point of this.. unless it's to encourage division and arguing among fans (I guess in keeping with 2020)

******
That’s not what the question is, tho. The author asked “which do you prefer?” Still an odd pairing for such an exercise.

I had this phrase in my head for several years: When I want gritty horror, I want Bernie Wrightson. When I want superheroes, I want John Byrne. I've seen Wrightson do a superhero series once, and I didn't like it. But that's just not his strength, nothing negative at all against him. It's not fair to compare artists of different genres like this.

This is a pointless comparison !If you look at the artwork quality produced by both, it's a total different approach to the medium. At the end, it just goes down to a personal preference for each person. So depending on what you have mostly been exposed to, French-Belgian style comics or American comics, you would know, appreciate and be inclined to a preference.
As this survey is for a more American target, it's normal to go the way it goes now.
And again, oranges and apples...

Which is, again, a pointless exercise

This prompted me to pull out the MAJOR FATAL volume from the Humanoids set I purchased decades ago. That’s the one that contains “The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius”—in French, which adds an extra layer of incomprehensiblity. Some of the pages are barely more than doodles. But even those doodles have a structure, a WEIGHT to the forms and figures that I struggle to even get close to on a good day. Taste is taste is taste, but..........!!

I can assure you I enjoyed my Blueberry books as much as my Fantastic Four issues when I read them during my teenage years.
