I fell in love with her watching repeats of The Avengers in the eighties. It took the producers a second attempt but they made one of the finest pieces of casting ever. She lit up the screen and her chemistry with Patrick Macnee was sublime

Remember, we would not have had the Hellfire Club in X-MEN without her performance in "A Touch of Brimstone" in THE AVENGERS.

(I was doing a signing, years ago, at a store that had a lot of bootleg tapes. Mike Gold picked up one of that episode, and said "Oh, look, they have the X-Men movie!")

The glamorous and fearless secret agent played by Diana Rigg will be missed by an older generation, including myself. She was truly a trailblazer in her time.

Condolences to her family & friends.

Yeah, that's definitely one of the things I was thinking of when I said she inspired so much.

And staying with comics, I think a lot of the look and sometimes the attitude of Black Widow seemed like it was very much trying to recreate the effortless coolness of her style and on screen kick ass abilities...

Sad news. I saw her for more years as the host of 'Mystery'.

There was also that great early '80s pop song by Seattle group The Allies...

My BF is a huge Honor Blackman fan though, even has the old 'Kinky Boots' record.

So sad.

After her great turn in GAME OF THRONES the world was ready for a Diana Rigg renaissance.

Forever iconic.

RIP
