Kool and the Gang has long been a favorite. I got to see them open for
Van Halen back in 2012. JT was gone, of course, but man, it was still
great fun.

Jungle Boogie, Get Down On It and Joanna are real time-tripper songs for me whenever I hear them. Wore out the Something Special LP with Get Down On It and Be My Lady on it!

For me, Kool and the Gang was separated into 2 eras:

70s Funk

80s J.T. Taylor pop driven music.

Give me Rhyme Time People, Spirit of the Boogie, and Funky Stuff from the 70s everyday. Twice on Sunday.
