This might be my favorite single page so far! Byrne aliens, Byrne planets and moons... I'd have to have at least a twelve issue series! "D'Bari Was No Lady?"

Meanwhile. . .

Poking around online I found this:

Possibly the nicest picture of Jean I have ever seen. Not over-sexed. Not sleezy. The old costume treated with proper respect. She even looks like a teenager.

Don't know who painted it, but well done!

Agreed. Saw it recently too and was really impressed. The light and shadow is particularly good and the fabrics too.

Stanley 'Artgerm' Lau. I've only seen some of their Supergirl art before and it's great too!

Here's a sort of Phoenix-y Supergirl...

Another but with Streaky... I guess they have him doing a lot of covers for both companies!

Artgerm is a very popular newer artist.  Many of his covers fetch considerable prices on the aftermarket.  He specializes in painting the female form.

About today's ELSEWHEN page: It looks wonderful! I keep mentioning detail,  and this is another page full of such awesome detail.  I love the alien designs,  too!

As paintings, they're great.

But covers? No.

It's not dynamic nor does it give a hint of what the story inside is about.
