Loved the first season, enjoyed the second.

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
I was hoping Daniel and Johnny were going to bury the hatchet and team up against Kreese. And I thought the big fight in the final episode was a bit over the top

The family started watching this over our vacation this past week...

I'm not world's biggest KARATE KID fan (I like and own the first film, and that's it), but this series is ridiculously enjoyable.

I may have to rent Parts II & III, and maybe even THE NEXT KARATE KID, so I can get all the references and callbacks!

Great, solid show.  Definitely a surprise hit.

What I really like is that although Daniel is now in the position of mentor, he is still a flawed human being trying to do the right thing but making some mistakes along the way. He is a good teacher and skilled in karate but he still isn't Miyagi's equal and probably should never be.

Also, it's interesting to note that Ralph Macchio was actually older in the first season of Cobra Kai than Pat Morita was when he played Miyagi in the first film!

I just marathoned the first season. I didn't know what to expect and was pretty impressed. I like the balance between winking, self-aware genre satire and dark, reflective character study.

I was really impressed by the pacing. Most other 36-minute web comedies lag for me. Cobra Kai episodes feel 20 minutes long.

Ok, that's just freaking insane.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. And they did an excellent job with making Johnny likeable/sympathetic with his backstory and realizing some of his flaws.

Not posting any spoilers, but that season 2 finale was a doozy. Hoping Eli/Hawk gets a serious comeuppance in season 3.
