Sad to hear of Saxon's passing, a great actor who was in so many movies I enjoyed.

Considering he popped-up a couple times on The Six Million Dollar Man, Saxon was a familiar face going back, literally, as far as I can remember.  Enjoyed his presence whenever he'd pop up over the years.  However...

True story:  My wife would have a visceral reaction to him whenever he'd show up on TV... turns out years ago (before I even met her) she once worked for a company that had dealings with Mr. Saxon (I obviously won't get into the details)... apparently he had quite a temper with her over the phone, and they both got into quite the shouting match, the way she tells it.

So my running joke whenever he'd appear on screen would be to exclaim, "Hey, honey!  It's your buddy, John Saxon!"  To which she'd grumble, swear, and walk out of the room!  :)

Still:  I liked him!

RIP

Born Carmine Orrico. I had no idea! His face was a fixture
of my childhood.

Fixed in my mind is an ad for BONANZA. Saxon plays a Mexican bandit who has supposedly kidnapped Little Joe. Ben Cartwright demands proof. Your son has a small scar on his thumb, says Saxon, as he reaches for a pouch on his belt.

Cut away.........

Always liked him- I think I learned about the  Roddenberry show Planet Earth with him that never launched. Would have liked to see more of it.
