The first FF I got off the rack was #159, fourteen years after their debut. Which seemed to be 45 years in the past.
Now it somehow is 45 years since my first issue!!

More like times DeLorean!

Time and our perception of it is interesting. When
that 20th anniversary issue came out, 20 years was
longer than I had been alive and seemed like an
eternity to me as a result. To think it's been
twice that long since then is mind-blowing to me,
as it doesn't seem possible that was so long ago.
Forty years before that anniversary was World War
II for goodness sake!!

I was exactly Kitty's age when she first appeared in the X-Men. I haven't handled the intervening years quite as well....

Because the early Marvel characters predate my birth, I've always thought of them as being "really old". Hard to believe the time between my discovering them in the 70s was closer to their creation than today is to the 70s....

Star Wars seem much much newer to me, since I remember a time before it was created.

Once I was younger than Spider-Man. Now I'm closing in on Aunt May.

For a long time I have clung to the fact that Thor will always be older than me!

Aunt May.
I assumed she was in her 50’s when I first met her - because 50 was
really old.
Now I assume she was in her ‘80’s, but really, which age is more
plausible for her to be the sibling, or related to a sibling of a 16 year
old’s parent?

So visually, 80’s. Likely? ‘50’s.
So roughly my age.

Crap.

Roughly the age of actress Marisa Tomei, actually.
