Our DVR didn't get Stargirl either, but it was ready to watch the next night. So, 24 hours later...

I don't think any of those kids are quite ready for prime time. That is one of the themes of the show in fact. Rick is too angry, Yolanda is too violent, Beth is too intellectual (and not physically active enough), Courtney is a little too gung ho and perky. If Henry Jr. survives (yeah, that's a sure bet), he'll likely need a little tempering.

Pat and Justin are probably great mentors. I look forward to the small but necessary changes in the new JSA. Part of drama is change in the characters; I can practically see these hanging out on the kids.

I like the ride so far, and I'm confident that it will be addressed.

Marc F. - That's a good guess. I do not think that will be the outcome, because - to be blunt - in the comics, Jakeem Thunder is black, and I don't believe Johns wants to change that. I'm not sure we see the T-bolt until season 2 at least.

It's a good theory, and I could certainly be wrong. We'll see what the future brings! (No, wait, that's the second Hourman... ;)

Yeah...it's been years since I read Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E., so I don't remember...did Pat even have a kid in that book?

Yes. Mike was closer in age to Courtney in the comics, if I remember correctly. And Pat and Barbara had a baby girl together.

Also, Mike has already mentioned that he has a friend named Jakeem, so they have already set up Jakeem Thunder.

Okay...all caught up.

Still enjoying this very much.

The "Brainwave Jr." episode is now, by a significant
degree, my favorite so far!

Saw the "Shining Knight" episode last night on DCUniverse and really enjoyed it. Looks as though the show will be taking a couple weeks off, but this is a good spot for a mini-hiatus; there's quite a bit going on and the pieces are coming together for the season ender.

Well worth watching.

Hm. Interesting, because it isn't showing up on my DVR scheduled tapings. I'll check again.
