And that villain teaser at the end...

C'mon, let's skip ahead to 2021...

I have to say, I fell off from the CW shows a few years back but Stargirl had me looking forward to each episode every week. It's amazing what can be done when the show isn't embarrassed by the source content to use the the costumes from the comics. I could have over-analyzed things every week but I leave that stuff to the comic blogs and I just try to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the show. I'm really looking forward to the next season!

Marc F. - why do you suppose that teaser at the end was for a villain? You might not know, but Sylvester Pemberton was originally the Star Spangled Kid; then he became Skyman; and in the Stargirl venue, he was the last (?) Starman.

It could be dramatic and fun for Starman to appear without his being a villain. And as I noted... it's not another evil Flash. :)

EDIT: OOPS! You might have meant Bruce Gordon... um, yeah, oops?

Very satisfying finale. Lots of action and emotional stuff. And some nice teases for next year (Eclipso, The Shade & The Mist, Sylvester). For all the heat Johns gets for his comic work, he did a good job with this show.

With The Shade showing up, I'm hoping to see Jack Knight on the show. But I'm thinking that Sylvester might end up being a Jack Knight stand-in?

Given Johns' love of JSA archaeology, it could also be a neat fake out to
introduce Wotan...given the Wizard's demise. I doubt they'd be pulling another
Beth Crisis play like they did in Batwoman.

Michael, Sylvester is Starman and Star-Spangled Kid combined into one character, so maybe Jack doesn't exist.....

Some speculations:

- Sylvester Pemberton might be an impostor, but it's just as likely his return will present a crisis for Courtney--what if the staff chooses him over her? Can she be a hero without her weapon? Will Pat want to go back to being a sidekick?
- Eclipso and the Shade won't be teaming up but will be more of a one-two punch, leaving the young team reeling (and maybe down one); I can imagine Courtney is "eclipsed" at some point, if only because she's the heart of this young JSA
- Barbara might run for mayor, with William Zarick dead
- we'll see a new Wizard
- "Chuck" will be back
- there will be a "legacy" ISA with Cameron (aka Icicle Jr), Artemis Crock, and Isaac Bowin, led by "Shivclipso."

Yeah, I was talking about Eclipso...I'm willing to accept Sylvester at face value (for now)...

As The Shade had been identified as quitting the ISA, and he was first mentioned in an episode written by James Robinson, I’m expecting him to play a similar role as he did in Robinson’s STARMAN.

I remember largely enjoying Robinson's "Starman" at the time (with the possible exception of the pirate storyline, which is just because, meh, pirates).  I wonder if I'd still like it now?

enjoying it as much as ever!
