A drawing (or two) in this fanzine I’ve never seen anywhere else on the web.

Thanks for sharing these pieces, guys.

That "Rule 34" special... When was it published? I
thought the term "rule 34" applied to the internet
only, but I know that Storm drawing has to be older
than the internet age.

I’ll look for a date on the Rule 34 issue. It has a “Heroes Con” logo on the back... how long has that con been around?

Looks like HeroesCon has been around since 1982, using a quick Google search for reference.

According to the Urban Dictionary on 'Rule 34':

"...The 34th rule of the Internet, which states that any object, character, or media franchise imaginable has porn associated with it. The only exception to this rule is outlined in Rule 35..."

I Googled "Rule 34 John Byrne" and didn't see info on that exact publication, but DID see a site which some choice artwork by JB that is NSFW.

I figured the book/portfolio above is a collection similar to that found on the website.

There's a lot I haven't seen popping up, awesome!

I don't have that calendar Nathan, but here's the one I ordered in '80....and I still have the envelope it came in.

Also picked up this fanzine — featuring a multi-page article on JB’s time in college (things his instructors said) and a ten page(!) interview with JB. Pretty incredible!
