Comedy legend Jerry Stiller has passed.

Very sad news!

Was sad to hear this when I woke up today. I also hadn't realized he was 92. I
knew he had to be older, but it just never registered.

Saddened to hear of this. I know he was in a lot of stuff, but my only
real exposure to his work was on SEINFELD and that was enough. No
one else could've played that role so perfectly. So many good scenes...

One of my favorite scenes of his was even funnier in the blooper than the official scene - LINK

I just saw him in his great supporting role in THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE
TWO THREE - he and Walter Matthau bounced off each other quite nicely to
give the movie its NYC bona fides.

I was introduced to Stiller and Meara when they hosted a late 70s, early 80s
show on HBO that would preview upcoming programming called HBO SNEAK
PREVIEWS. This is back when HBO wasn't even 24 hours yet, and I was so
enamored with my first pay movie channel that I would watch everything I
could. They had the obvious chemistry that made them both a comedy team
and longtime couple. They were the face of HBO for me.

And then of course SEINFELD - "Serenity Now!!" tops many great moments for
me.

I watched the Festivus episode last night in tribute. Maybe tonight I'll watch "The Serenity Now!"
